Cleantech for CEE at Green Forum Bulgaria

Green Forum Bulgaria

Cleantech for CEE was invited to share its mission and vision at the Green Forum in Bulgaria, which convened European leadership including representatives from the Commission, Parliament, and Council, alongside a Nobel laureate, regional ministers, and leaders from business, investment, and research communities.

Co-Founder Suzana Carp delivered insights on the intersection of energy and transport innovation with regional competitiveness, drawing from extensive experience across the cleantech ecosystem in five CEE countries. She emphasized how improved physical infrastructure drives hardware cleantech development, noting that better transport routes reduce risks and enhance the investment profile for innovators throughout the region.

The forum revealed a significant shift: CEE's green transition has moved from theoretical potential to concrete opportunity. Investment interest in cleantech continues growing as stakeholders recognize this transformation as fundamentally about human development—creating meaningful careers, building new capabilities, and establishing foundations for sustained prosperity through innovation-driven growth.

Participants viewed this moment as a generational opportunity for the region to simultaneously address climate risks while building economic resilience and strategic independence, positioning CEE as an emerging cleantech powerhouse in Europe's green transformation.
