Last week in Vienna, Cleantech for CEE joined XISTA Science Ventures and VERBUND Venture Day to bridge the gap between breakthrough research and climate-ready capital. The event focused on how science, investment, and entrepreneurship can jointly accelerate Europe’s path toward decarbonization.
Representing the coalition alongside partners from Cleantech Scandinavia, Boguslawa Cimoszko Skowronski and Mirek Janik engaged with leading VC and private equity investors from the DACH region. During panel discussions, Bogy highlighted the unique opportunities within Central and Eastern Europe’s energy transition, noting that the region's rapid industrial transformation and entrepreneurial drive position it as a dynamic contributor to the continental cleantech ecosystem.
The event also featured a presentation by Grzegorz Nowaczewski, CEO of coalition member Virtual Power Plant. He showcased an AI-driven pilot project in Skawina that integrates photovoltaics, heat pumps, and energy storage into a single management platform—a clear example of the tangible innovation emerging from the CEE region.
We look forward to deepening our collaboration with the DACH ecosystem to unlock new investment flows for regional innovators.
